| Tenant Based Rental Assistance and Section 8 Voucher Program Information for Interested Families |
The Section 8 Program enables the Atchison Housing Authority
to provide housing assistance to approximately 20 families.
The purpose of the Section 8 program is to provide rental
assistance to families while allowing the family the flexiblity to
rent from a private landlord within the community. Our
jursidiction for the Section 8 program is within the city limits of
the city of Atchison, Kansas.
Families must meet income guidelines and pass background
screenings before being determined as eligible for the
program. Individuals interested in applying for assistance or
persons with any questions are encouraged to contact the
