| CONSORTIUM INFORMATION for HOUSING AGENCIES |
The Kansas Housing Resources Consortium was developed to assist
agencies that are struggling to meet the ever changing and increasing
regulatory requirements with less support and funding.
The consortium began in 2000 when the Atchison and Holton Housing
Authorities entered into an agreement that Atchison would provide all
management and reporting functions while the on site manager would
be responsible for day to day operations.
In 2001 the Paola Housing Authority entered into a similar agreement
with Atchison Housing Authority.
In 2002 the Consortium was officially recognized.
Most recently the rural development property, known as Diamond
View in Effingham, Kansas has entered into an agreement with the
Atchison Housing Authority.
Since entering into the consortium struggling agencies have received
increased funding, assessment scores have increased and vacancies
have decreased.
The consortium allows for agencies to combine resources and
streamline regulatory requirements while working towards individual
agency goals.
